what broker applies the premium from selling options right away as purchasing power?

basically i'll be selling either long dated covered calls or cash secured puts. will be wheeling if the put gets assigned. no problems with cash in account.

i'm trying out the demo for saxobank and while the premium is noted in my cash balance, my margin power is the same. i understand that in terms of obligation, the calculation is that i must close my sold option to book the final P/L.

in the event that i get assigned, i get full premium of the option? then use that to purchase the underlying? or does the broker do some jew magic and deduct the cost of underlying against the premium collected and leaves me a balance?

You can say now:

Yeah, because land they used to live on was given to people they don't want to live with. Now after decades of conflict they might be tired of it and accept the terms to finally solve the issue. But Israel will not, cause now they are hellbent on acquiring all the land.

Also when people say you have to pay taxes, or capital gains taxes, does this mean you have to "owe" when you do your taxes? You have to think about it and pay what's owed. Tax depends on how long you've held it and your income bracket. There are federal and state components. Don't forget tax on dividends. LLPs must not be held in retirement accounts, and have special tax treatment.

>> No.56411783

>>56411723
Depends on if the stocks are from your country or foreign. If foreign you might have to pay tax twice as some countries demand withdrawal tax on dividends for example. Not sure how it is with selling for profit. If your broker subtracts this amount automatically also depends of your broker. In germany many brokers do this for german tax, but it seems like they also substract foreign tax automatically for which you then have to fill out papers to get them back (if any, depending on contracts between your country and the country where the stock is listed). Otherwise you pay 2 times tax on a taxable event like dividends or interest (bonds for example).

eToro for example is a broker where you OWE money as they don't subtract the tax automatically (if you live in germany).

So it all depends on where you live, what broker you use, what stocks you buy (at least in regards to double taxation which decreases your profit if you don't reclaim the paid taxes)

Second and third rather answer it. As almost every US talks about owing taxes to IRS it sounds like in the US the brokers do not subtract the taxes immediately on the taxable event.

Don't get overwhelmed by the details anon and go back to the basics. If you think demand is high and yet rates are still rising, then that means the supply has to be even higher.

Which is true. The government is selling an absolute metric shitload of bonds right now to make ends meet, to the point that its driving up rates by flooding the market. This is what debt fags have been warning about ever since the covid trillions

5 dollars? I don't mean this in an insulting way, do you have only so few capital? I mean it's good you want to increase it by whatever means, but you also have to think about how much worth is your time in relation to what you can gain out of it. Investing is time consuming (at least research if you put any into it), so it has to pay out. For that you need capital (or leverage which is essentially borrowed capital). It's a shitsystem, the people with more money have it easier, are privileged so to say.

Another thing it would be if you live in South America where 5 USD are much more worth so that it actually has a meaningful impact on your monthly/yearly income.

4. its worth it because from a technical standpoint you can better gauge if you should hold on to those stocks for longer or if you should sell them for a whatever profit/loss you currently yield. its not just for stocks, you can also use it for trading options or futures or forex.

VIX just moved back to green
seems like it's turning into a geopolitical fear day
bid gold, bid bonds, bid oil
sell stocks, derisk
maybe it's just a fakeout, dealers are super underwater on puts, wouldn't surprise me if this is bait to sell puts to then rally markets, so all the 0dtes they sell during this fear help them get back to even
but idk - it's starting to snowball where even the dealers can't control it

Genuinely, that is what everyone is thinking. I'm not exaggerating. You are embarrassing yourself. You are walking out of the bathroom, with a 10 foot long strand of toilet paper on your shoe in front of everyone. We are all pointing and laughing at you. You are a retard.
