The only reason why fastfood restaurants are forced to pay $20 an hour is to kick out small fastfood chains and to further monopolize the business
McDonald’s and Burger King can easily afford to pay that amount but small businesses can not

I visited California recently and they have a law that small restaurants can pay $15.50 an hour while chains have to pay $20.

It makes it that small restaurants have similar prices that you see in the south while fast food is significantly more expensive
