> I was stunned when I was visiting a birthday party in Holland, and one of the neighbour's kids was also there, not because she was invited, but because she regularly just hopped by to play with their kids. She was sent away when the birthday cake was served because she was not invited... WTF. I really felt bad for her. Another thing: my sister married a Dutch guy, and the wedding was in Flanders, Belgium(we are Flemish). All the Dutch guest were surprised that there was an abundance of food and free drinks all night for all the guests. They all went to eat some fastfood before the evening party because nobody expected that. Seems like in Holland, wedding parties are without food, and the party doesn't last untill the next morning... I also visited a friend's wedding in Zeist(NL), there were free drinks for the guests, but no food. Also the curfew of the party was at 2AM. Luckily, I was there with my motorhome, and had some booze in that fridge. So we could stay and party on that night. But I also went to visit people in Holland who offered a cookie to have with the coffee. After 1 cookie, the cookie box was closed and placed back into the closet.

Honestly splitting the bill 50/50 is bullshit because often times someone has a drink or a dish that is more expensive than the other.

It's just a little snack you give to a guest out of courtesy. If you want to have a full meal worth of food you should eat at home or bring your own lunch.

I live in the Netherlands and I went to a wedding once, and everything was free. No limits to how much either.

I think you just met weird people.

Whenever I visit someone, there is no limit to how much. They put everything on the table and when a bowl is empty, the hosts refill it.

What's weird to me is how Afrikaaners are the exact opposite to the Dutch. When I was there they were basically force feeding me koeksisters.

Can confirm. I had a Dutch childhood friend who lived with his family on the local military base here in America. His name was Jordi. I'm not sure why they were here on our base, but they had wooden shoes outside, spoke Dutch and everything.

Anyway, I was allowed to eat dinner with them because I was "invited" to visit him. It was a very strict dinner, with little talking. All I wanted to do was play Wolfenstein. Jordi sat on the keyboard and put himself in front of the screen because he wanted to go outside and play soccer and paintball.

There's a reason why Jewry flourished in Europe when the Kingdom of the Netherlands was established. Centuries of Calvinism, left behind a soulless nation.

Even the kikes recognize the importance of providing food and drinks for wedding and party guests (bar / bat mitzJerry.

Near every culture believes in taking care of friends and family that have traveled to visit for special occasions.

This is just next level jewry.

Fake news. Not even Dutchies would do this.
>All the Dutch guest were surprised that there was an abundance of food and free drinks all night for all the guests

I've only been to a handful of Dutch weddings, but there was an open bar at all of them. It's also not unusual to have an exclusive dinner with only close relatives and close friends of the bride and groom (~30 people). Colleagues, loosely related family, friends from high school and other acquaintances just come for the ceremony and the party, not the dinner. 2am seems like a decent time to end the party if the wedding has been going on since the early afternoon. Wedding guests that wish to continue the party usually take public transport or taxis and head into town.

Based. American gluttons in shambles.
