I would like to at this point in my life become a prison guard. I am 25 and have received zero help from anyone. My mother has threatened to cut all ties from me. I have not lived with her for the past year.

I just don't see any better option and I think I could be good at this. I'm/fit/ so well equipped to deal with shitskins
She made me take a Liberal Arts degree and now I'm 50k in debt, didn't know any better

Alternatively she told me at this point she's willing to accept me becoming a priest, which is what I always wanted all along. But the education doesn't pay you there so I'd have to get in even more debt

What would you choose in this dire economy?

She threatened to cut all ties with me. She's never been this serious before

Being a prison guard seems like a perfectly respectable career. But would police or the military pay more?

Not in my country. You get paid to study it, full salary and everything
But she's saying it's not prestigious and it's a "loser profession" baka

She's right that it isn't prestigious, and it won't have the same long-term earnings potential of a skilled trade or profession. But everybody needs to work, and if you've found a job which pays the bills and doesn't make you want to kill yourself, then that's all that really matters. All honest work is good work.

There's nothing saying that you have to stick with the same career for your entire life, by the way. You could use this to pay off your debt and then decide to retrain into something else later if you want.

>The New Mexico State Penitentiary riot, which took place on February 2 and 3, 1980, at the Penitentiary of New Mexico (PNM) south of Santa Fe, was the most violent prison riot in U.S. history. Inmates took complete control of the prison and twelve officers were taken hostage. Several inmates were killed by other prisoners, with some being tortured and mutilated because they had previously acted as informants for prison authorities. Police regained control of PNM 36 hours after the riots had begun. By then, thirty-three inmates had died and more than two hundred were treated for injuries.[1] None of the twelve officers taken hostage were killed, but seven suffered serious injuries caused by beatings and rapes.[2]

>Some of the officers held hostage were protected and fed by inmates. Two officers, disguised as inmates, were escorted out of the prison by sympathetic inmates. Two officers who had been brutally beaten and raped were carried out on blanket stretchers because the prisoners did not want an officer to die while in their custody. Seven officers suffered severe injuries. "One was tied to a chair. Another lay naked on a stretcher, blood pouring from a head wound."[34]

>have to live in the middle of nowhere
>constant vigilance for threats on your life will make everyday life seem uninteresting
>low pay
>have to socialize with other guards, most of whom are low iq normies
>no career advancement opportunities unless you go LE
if you want a boring but stable life it's the way to go, otherwise don't do it. the one guy i know who made a career of it has a thousand yard stare and obsesses over lifting and model trains, he has a qt phillipina wife.
