As far as shitcoins go? Yes, correct. Just look at LINK and XRP. Absolute garbage that no one uses.

Bitcoin however, is priceless as the world's first digital commodity. It's the best form of property.

It's the third stage of Simulacra and Simulation. The first stage was gold/silver, the profound reality of money. The second stage was paper currency, which originally could be redeemed for gold/silver but eventually became a perversion of reality. Now with Bitcoin we have a 'copy without an original,' where 1 BTC has a market paper currency value despite having no reality to it.

>no use cases

1) money laundering
2) ransomware
3) crypto scams & hacks
4) enriching CEXs via gambling fees
5) enriching dev teams and VCs by dumping zero-cost unregulated securities on poorfags
6) tax evasion
7) buying and selling drugs
8) money flight

that's 8 off the top of my head.

There's valid use cases for crypto in general, including Bitcoin:
1) More anonymity than Paypal or similar. Paypal basically just gives you the name of someone.
2) Can pay people in weird countries instantly if it's too much of a pain to go through a series of obscure international transfer companies
3) If censored by banks or banking companies, can still do business

It might be more difficult to justify use cases for "smart contract" cryptos, as I've never had an actual need for "smart contracts". If the price of coins like Eth were stable, smart contracts would be very useful for timed, uncensorable payments and such.
