Think about the predicament they are in. They fatally overextended themselves on the short side of a company they were trying to kill and retail saw the writing on the wall and started giga slurping all of the liabilities they created for themselves in the year 2023 when everyone is clued in on potential short squeezes. It doesn't matter if RC was involved or not. The shares are already canceled, the ticker is deleted. It wouldn't be just fraud or illegal to give past shareholders anything now: it is literally impossible. If a company wants to give anything to shareholders (shares in the new company, cash, anything), then they have to give those out before the shares are canceled. The order is extremely important and cannot be reversed. Since this didn't happen, it is literally impossible for BBBYQ holders to get anything.
