I think I could have banged my Texas Roadhouse waitress last night. When it came time to place my I ordered a coke but she asked me if pepsi was ok. I replied pretty quickly “it doesn’t matter, I own shares of both”. I swear she broke out into the biggest grin and her eyes were smiling. I didn’t tell her my projected annual dividend income for the 2 of them was nearly $2,000 but I think she could tell it was a fair amount. Unfortunately her shift didn’t end until 2 am so she couldn’t make it for drinks afterwords but I’m going back again next week and I’m prepared to stay out past 2am

I cannot think or comprehend of anything more cucked than buying long-term treasuries. Honestly, think about it rationally. You are loaning your money to the Federal government for at least two years solely so they can give it to weapons manufacturers, Boomers on medicare, and Israel. All the hard work you put into getting your money - wageslaving, making profitable trades, not buying too many funkopops, denying yourself avocado toast, avoiding crypto scams. All of it has one simple result: your money gets LOWER interest rates and is held up for longer than it would be in shorter term bonds and bills. Saved the perfect sum? Great. Who benefits? If you're lucky, a random NEET who had nothing to do with the way you saved your money, who gets welfare from the Feds. You get fucked by high inflation every month. The Military Industrial Complex and giant agribusiness conglomerates get the benefits of your money that came from your earnings. As an investor who buys long-term treasuries, you are LITERALLY dedicating at least two years of your investment simply to raise a sum for other people to enjoy. It is the ULTIMATE AND FINAL cuck. Think about it logically.

My most reliable indicator for when to completely ignore all the fud is when retail bears show up here and start gloating about red days that happen without any corresponding release of information. It's on its face irrational, there's no credibility to the bear thesis at that point. those papers go usually back in history like 100 years, that's why they are faulty for modern markets. i've seen hedge fund managers to trash to exact academic papers. the practical implemention of trend following systems is very bad as win rate is so low. the system actually rely on luck. and usually the papers are data-mined, so the strategy is fitted into historical data. but in forward trading it's deadly because low win rate, and fitted system that is actually not profitable system.

typically good trading systems have win rate of 50-80% each trade, this is seen over and over again in winning traders. trend following is anywhere 15-35% it's too low and thus rely on luck actually. the deadly streaks come with those win rates

I have looked and looked for this and have yet to find anything that isn't itself just data mined Larry Williams-esque trash. I for one am predisposed to preferring buy the dip strategies but that way only leads to loss except for the very few extremely talented (lucky?) traders that seem to be able to make it work

That was the other anon using moving averages. I have 8 systems in my portfolio but I'll give you an example to run some numbers on. I don't use this system but it's food for thought.
When the VIX6M/VIX ratio daily close is equal to or above 1.2 sell buy SVXY on the open of the next day. When VIX6M/VIX closes below 1.2 sell SVXY and buy BIL. That's it. Strictly volatility based though in spirit similar to something like the 50 and 200 day moving average crossover. The system is currently long BIL
The systems I run are much more sophisticated than that but, again, food for thought and something I'm kicking around as the start of a strategy
