Nothing peculiar, but i've few swiss pieces from around this period and hallmarks are a real mess, they changed from towns to towns, and it's hard to find a coherent synthesis of marks from there until they adopted a normalization standard during the XXth c. . Moreover from my experience they liked very simple design on silver pieces, like the uniplat style.
Also last hint, the seller isn't living too far from Switzerland.

Those are just few clues, but it could very well be from the other side of the world for all i know.

Why would you beleive that? A literal billion of 20F gold coins were minted by the french government, so i dont see the point of doing restrikes from something who already is the most minted gold coin to this day.

And tbf i don't mind much mass produced coins, whatever, millions of them are around.., it's more about unique pieces. I recently watched few vids of Drouot's live auctions in Paris, and toward the end you get the big pieces destined to the fat cats. Stuff like the personal guns of Napoleon, a 400yo painting from a maître who was displayed in the Louvres, an ancient marble statue who used to be in a duke's castle,... Pretty much all those items are being auctionned to ease succession splits in bourgeois families after the pater died.

Then all of a sudden all the "regular" french people who bid over 200 bux items in the room stop breathing and clinging, to be sure the auctioneer don't attribute any accidental move as a bidding sign, and you get a dozen girls in the back of the room, each one on the phone with mutts/chinks billionaires, who start to buzz and enter in a millions USD bidding wars macabre dance.

At first i also thought it was a maple kind of leaf, but upon closer inspection i now believe it was a birb, which is commonly used as silver hallmarks.
I didn't win the auction anyway, so i stopped my investigation.

Bros, particularly UK and Royal Mint bros.
I'm currently stacking Britannias, they seem like a good Bullion option for lots of reasons. Tax exempt, purity, renowned, transportable, aesthetic, security features etc.
Are Sovereigns a "lesser" bullion option? Does their 916.67 Fine Gold purity work against them? Will they be harder to shift? I know the coin has a historic standing in our history, but is it worthwhile as bullion investment?

I'm trying not to be a collector of coins or variants, but i do like the horsey and i'm an autist for having a complete set.

is it normal for prices to vary on a website vs in their own local shop? just bought some and the prices for a 1oz gold krug are off by about 50€ and 1€ for a 1oz silver maple leaf. went in store to buy them anonymously and just checked the prices online and i paid more than what they sell the same stuff on their website. 1€ for the silver is not that big of a deal but 50€ on the krug is quite a difference imo.

i did the ping test on my coins and while the gold coin sounds really nice the silver ones dont. the gold ping is really loud and sharp and lasts for a couple seconds while all of my silver coins sound pretty dull imo. its also a very short ping compared to the gold one. i used one of those frequency checker apps and the pings peak at 4600ish Hz and i read somewhere that silver coins should be around 6400Hz. did i get duped? the seller is one of the more if not most reputable in my area. i dont have any magnets at hand to do those tests but ill get one as soon as i can.
