I just want to have enough money to be able to sit at home and play WoW classic for 14+ hours a day without having to worry about anything else. How do I achieve this?

If you play 14 hours a day, you'll hit max level and have nothing left to do after a couple weeks. Then your life just become raid logging because world buffs are the meta. Just chill and play a couple hours a day, it's more fun that way. Hardcore is pretty fun too.

When you have the money that allows you to do that, you wouldn't even bother. I thought exactly how you did and then when I started putting away good money each week, I couldn't even justify sitting on those games surrounded by jabbering retards anymore. I would be like "I just spent 2 hours earning fake gold and killing people who have nothing better to do, but get killed in this video game...I'm losing by being here simply because my time is worth more than theirs' and look what I'm choosing to do with it..." Those people were paying pennies to play, I was paying hundreds to play over the same interval.

I played those games for like a month after and then logging in felt gross to me. I say that fully recognizing what website I'm on and the sort of people I'm "surrounded" with here, but to be fair, I'm in a relationship with a girl who was with me before I started to make money and so my day to day is limited by her lazy ass and this is the healthiest way I can avoid the reality that I'm going to have to break up with her if I want my life to be as good as it can be. Once she's gone, I'll have zero reason to use this site and I can't imagine anyone uses it for any reason other than something similar to how I use it. It's a low key way to escape the problems you should be addressing.

This. I didn't even hit retirement money, just took a 1.5 week vacation to play wow classic when it came out. It was fun at first, grinding, doing dungeons, fucking around, joining an active guild.
Halfway through it really hit how unfulfilling it is, I'll never experience the same joy I had when I was a kid experiencing for the first time. It was all pointless, and wasn't actually very fun. I couldn't imagine wasting even more weeks or even months blowing all my time on it. What a waste.

I played wow classic at launch in 2019 and I had an even better experience than when I played as a teen. But the feeling disappeared later in classic when raiding just became a chore and gold buying destroyed the economy.
I think the reason you feel so bad about gaming is because you're not primarily focusing on advancing your own life, career and family etc and then treating gaming as a hobby or creative release. Instead people stay functionally like overgrown teen losers wondering why they get depressed and video games no longer being a fun activity. This is because subconsciously they know that they aren't advancing their own lives and growing into adults, and they use video games to cope

>I think the reason you feel so bad about gaming is because you're not primarily focusing on advancing your own life

lol, wut. You're projecting and coping so hard. I've long since moved on from "gaming" and ironically my focus has for a while been on exactly what you claim I'm "not primarily focusing on" - I spend majority of my time advancing my "life," job, paying attention to my wife/family etc.

I don't feel bad about gaming at all, in fact I'll still play CSGO for short periods of time (when I have the time, which is sadly less and less) and I still have a lot of fun playing it. "Gaming" is not a creative release or hobby at all for me, it's something I do strictly for entertainment, a short amount of time, and then log off. Like the equivalent of watching a TV show or something.

You're coping with either not being able to relive WoW original feeling, or perhaps you never got to experience the feeling because you're a zoomer or some such. I don't really care. What I wrote is true: 1) Nobody will ever be able to relive the original release of WoW; 2) that feeling of the original release was an unparalleled excitement, almost ecstatic feeling of adventure and wonder; and 3) that feeling was unique to that moment in time and can't be replicated.

I achieved this because I bought $5000 worth of dogecoin when it was almost worthless.

I played wow private servers for 12-16 hours a day for a couple years straight, then wow classic when it came out, religiously.

I destroyed my health, my social life, my personality, and any career prospects I had. I became miserable and wound up hating the game, but kept playing it anyways since I was into raiding and addicted. I even did the rank 14 grind on a pserver (pointless).

One day I woke up, and uninstalled wow and never touched it since. It was the darkest period in my life, even though I was a millionaire.

I'm still recovering physically and mentally from what I did to myself.

>2019 was different but still one of the best gaming experiences to date, because it wasn't primarily private server players but 15 years of pent up nostalgia

I think trying to compare this to the original release of WoW is pretty close to, if not THE definition of cope. It was pure cope and whatever genuine feeling of happiness there was quickly dissipated when everyone realized they, in fact, could NOT relieve the original experience of WoW.

>Your brain is fried from nu internet if you think anything I wrote is seething

well cope & seethe often go together, I think you were just mildly upset about what I wrote and trying to reason your way through it. I don't blame you, we all wish we could get that unique amazing rush again. But we can't. That's why moving on, growing up and experiencing new things is important. There are other, perhaps better feelings out there and they don't have to necessarily be video game related.
