i've been falling for a lot of demoralization and doomer threads lately. and they've low key been making me go insane. but i think i realized something. i read somewhere, bull markets breed imitation, while bear markets birth innovation. and if you look around the market, a lot of it is just copy pasta in one way or another. even the apple event today is just rehashed material. or electic vehicle companies just copying the same front-running formula. there's hundreds of examples. and i just came out of my moment of mania when i realized-- there isn't any carrot at the end of the stick. two generations are currently being priced out of everything they were promised- homes, families, success, savings, progress. and forced deep into the mud of complacency, fuming with rage. but that's exactly the kind of environment that demands innovation because its based out of necessity. we've skated by for the last decade chasing that juicy carrot at the end of the stick, and something else got to it first. the chance was there to get it. now it is gone. so it makes sense that the majority would adopt an extreme defeatist mentality because all they know is ease and reward. but here is where the most determined have to survive because their very purpose demands of it. there is no carrot anymore and the goal now is to create your own. or die.

We get to this point in every single bear market, people lose hope because they can't see any new narrative form anymore. "where will all the magical buy pressure come from?" etc. Then the new narrative inevitably comes and we all do the same dance all over again.

Greed didn't die in 2021. If anything people will become even more greedy and desperate, especially this new terminally online generation as they enter the work force. Bearish on traditional savings accounts, bullish on the digital casino.

What you consume will consume you. In the sense that if you read demoralisation posts all day, your mind will dwell on that shit and it will sink into your subconscious. Next thing you know, you are thinking demoralised thoughts out of seemingly nowhere. Because your subconscious has, unjudgingly, consumed a bunch of demoralisation shit.
You can reverse meme your subconscious easily though. Just surround yourself with positive things. Give up the gangster rap. Degenerate porn. Larp threads etc. Make a habit of consuming positive things.
There are so many good people in the world that you tend to forget.
As for the state of the world, can you or I realistically change course of things? Globally? No. Our nation? Unlikely. Our smalll network? There is a hope. Ourselves? We can.

You are right. We fell in the trap of Nation -> Community -> Individual. This is where the trap is, we always complain about how our country is fucked or religion is fucked but these things don't have a solution. However, if we go like Individual -> Community -> Nation we can actually begin somewhere then continue as far as we can then pass the torch to the next generation.

Yep. Same thing happening to movies and videogames. Its a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy etc. People have not realized it yet since they are still in this mentality of progress from the last decades and centuries, but we have hit stagnation and even degradation culturally, scientifically and economically.

If people dont get their shit together we might just leap into another dark age where progress and knowledge will be lost, just like it happened after the collapse of the bronze age and after the collapse of the roman empire.

We peaked around 1990 - 2005 and everything afterwards became a slow decline
