Will you ever stop trying to get rich or will you die trying? I find myself giving up trying to get rich and it only makes me temporarily happy, then just depressed as I know I'm not doing anything to get further ahead. At least trying to get rich gives me a purpose.

What's your reasoning?
How I see it - If you're born poor the point is to escape poverty. If you're born rich the point is to enjoy the ride. If someone wage slaves they're in poverty and should strive to get out asap, but also not skip on enjoying the ride while they can, that should just be secondary until rich.

I didn't really care about getting rich until my bitch of a sister started leeching off my parents and pretending that she was rich.
She then sued my mom for harassment and stalking because she wanted to see her grandkids and my sister wouldn't let her.

Mom died last year and my sister acted surprised that she had been disowned and then came after me and my brother, blaming us for not giving her the full 33%.
From that point on, I vowed to be filthy rich one day so I could throw that in her heartless, self-absorbed destitute face.

Going strong at €1 million net worth right now, give or take. Many more to come so help me God.

It depends what you mean by rich. I want a certain lifestyle, and have certain experiences. I need enough for that, with some left over - but I don't have much use for money beyond that.

Every cent outside of what is absolutely necessary goes into a money market fund.
When I'm old I'll have enough to retire to a 1bedroom, order everything and never speak to anyone ever again.
