I love chestnuts.I only buy them around christmas time when they are available at regular grocery stores in my area. Even then they are expensive. If I make it I will have them more often, and try out different roasting techniques and soaking techniques, you can soak them in wine or liquor then roast them.

They are so good. Meaty, nutty, sweet. I can't believe it's a nut. They say North America was covered in them and early settlers feasted on them. Ah how I long to know what that would be like.

That's a fairly small amount of mcdonalds for an average size person, I'd say? The main reason fast food cooks so fast and "lasts" so short is that there isn't much density to it. I wouldn't want to eat a double helping of mcnuggets in that time frame, but I could easily.
