Being a well rounded person, regardless of your beliefs, is an admirable thing. If you're stacking silver and gold, you should also be stacking knowledge - if you're going to disagree with things on concept, you should at least understand them. Dialectically you must understand the person you are contrary to. You must become antithesis to their thesis so that together you can become synthesis and both walk away from the conversation more educated and more understanding. This only works if both parties are well-educated and well-reasoned. I reccomend starting off with some beginner philosophies or apologetics. He's nice enough to actually lay out possible objections to his beliefs, so this can help you get in the proper mindset for actually debating things instead of just being caustic on the internet.
If you want a more modern text, I recomend Nagel's "Mind and Cosmos" it's a more modern, less classically theological take on the failings of neo-darwinian materialism.
TL;DR: don't be a reductionist. I haven't been angered by you, so it's best not to pretend I have been.
If you're going to be against me, I'd rather you do it from a place of education, knowledge, and critical thought, rather than blindly doing so because of the dialectical structures you've been fed to since childhood of neo-liberal materialist reductionism.

What's POL's opinion on this. I bought a gold bracelet on ebay for 1/2 of spot (LMAO retardation) and the guy sent me an empty perfume box.

It was through Fedex and the weight listed on the package matched the weight of the bracelet that he was supposed to sent.

I filed a claim stating "missing parts" -- which is true since the package was missing the bracelet that he was supposed to sent.

but I'm concerned that when I ship it back he is going to say that the weight is different since the box that he sent does not weigh the same as the weight listed on the package when it was sent to me.

During the revaluation, gold will shoot up dramatically, like instant x20. Silver wont. Because signed papers will have decided it this way.
But i still prefer silver. Too much sneeded. Production too inelastic. Deficits too large.
While gold value will go parabolic at first, it's value will then be set in stone by mandates, mediums of exchange require price stability.

I completely understand where you are coming from because I had a very similar pattern of thinking (Unfortunately I own a larger % of silver than gold right now). Practically, logically... silver should be the winner based on the facts, assuming they are true. Idealistically we all want silver to win because it's the underdog and money of the people. Symbolically silver reaching near parity with gold would mean a triumph of truth and justice and the death of lies and manipulation. It's a good story and one would hope after all the financial suffering that is going to occur there would be some silver lining to it all.

Unfortunately I don't see it playing out that way anymore because I believe this move to a commodity based money will be under the control of the same people that caused the destruction and manipulation of the last system. Whoever has the gold makes the rules and it does not benefit the ones in power to allow true price discovery of metals. This manipulation will continue because after the coming financial trauma, the populace of every country will be begging for some solution and they will accept whatever is presented because they will not be in any position to challenge it due to their economic vulnerability. The rollout of the new system will be so swift and global that it will seem like it was the natural thing to do and the good thing to do.

Its price is the most manipulated thing there is in the market. Supply is dwindling and fast and so are the stockpiles that are left above ground. Silver and gold have a pretty strong ratio, historically, mining. If that ratio runs away then people will simply arbitrage it by trading said ratio until the realities of above ground stock forces it back to reality. Imagine making a 20x on gold and then being able to immediately trade 1oz of gold in for multiple 100 ounce bars. It doesn't make any sense. The system will break in the direction of accounting for the real world supplies and demand. With the loss of purchasing power of the dollar all of the malinvestment and perverse incentives will be gone.
