I'm pretty cheap. My last apartment had a ministry lead thrift store where they would basically give things away. I got most of my shirts and shorts and a few shoes for less than 50 bucks. Nice shit too, I have new doc martins, Maui Jim sunglasses and a really badass t shirt collection. Of course this took over a year of thrifting and I don't wear socks so I never have to wash them. I only wear sandals, like Jesus.

Unironically buy in bulk from a place like Costco or Sam's Club. Instead of buying toiletries every 2 weeks-month my gf and I split the bill every 6 months. Saves us hundreds if not a few thousand every year. If you're alone you'll still save a lot even with the costly up-front purchase/membership.

Protip: never shit at home or use your own utilities unless absolutely necessary. I barely buy toilet paper because I shit at work and have trained my body to not shit on the weekends or holidays and ONLY shit when at work. I haven't had to buy toilet paper in 2 years.
Same with brushing your teeth. Why use YOUR water when you can brush your teeth at work
And do t forget hair. Fuck razors or shaving gel or fancy hair cuts. Just shave everything with a cheap set of clippers.
