Aight I'll bite. Crapto is actually worse than tran finance. The barrier of entry of creating new tokens/scams is so low, everyone and their dogs even in third world countries are doing it. What's the difference with creating new money supply out of thin air?

Most people want to see that most NPCs are already into the current thing before they themselves get into it.
Also I think there's a sunk cost fallacy happening but with people's egos. Bitcoin has been around for almost 15 years now and people have been calling it a scam as it basically doubles every year on average. You have to double down on not getting into it in the hopes that it will one day not exist and you will be vindicated as not being a retard. This is the main barrier to adoption no one addresses.

I can grab some sand outside and say it's my new currency, that does not in any way inflate the money supply. Likewise no matter how many scam coins are made, the supply of Ether remains the same (actually it's been deflating for a while, which is even better).

Most people don't think for themselves they just follow what others do. To them using fiat currency is normal because everyone does it but using cryptocurrency is weird because not many people do it. They also would have to go out of their way to actually use it while fiat is accepted everywhere in their country and is what all employers pay.
