I spent 9900 in 2021. On a chevy sedan similar to the camry with similar mileage. Have had to make some repairs and change tires, but I am glad I don't have a car payment or get totally assraped at the pumps (looking at you pickup truck/SUV drivers)

That's horseshit considering KBB for my car is a bit over $1k and it still works fine. My girlfriend's car is a decade newer and average private party sale is $4k. Over 150k miles as well, but still gets from point A to point B just fine.

Anything $5k or less is going to be 10-15 years old and high mileage, though.
