I don't know. The world of piss beer isn't very dynamic outside of a Black Troon event. Busch ($BUD) and Coors ($TAP) own most of the facings in most of the beer coolers across the country. They make any and every SKU to try to take up as much space as possible, even if it makes no sense logistics wise. 8 packs of 12oz, 12 packs of 8oz, etc. Just look at the needless variety next time you're at the store.
In this endless jockeying, if one company loses sales, the store is just going to hand the space over to the other company, and they are going to fill it up. The store would have no reason to "give it back" if sales maintain, which is expected. Any new shelf space goes to craft beer which you are starting to see even at regular neighborhood grocery stores.
This only addresses retail and I don't know how restaurants and arenas work. But I do know retail alcohol sales are up compared to other channels, people don't go out as much anymore, and laws are getting way more permissive with the types of alcohol that can be sold in stores (premixed cocktails, sweetened malt beverages, etc.). In the face of that, people don't have to resort to piss beer at all.
