Hello dear /biz/ community!
Today I would like to start a healthy discussion and maybe learn a thing or two.

- DOT or ATOM
- What is the difference in the projects?
- How do they work?
- How is a 15% stake rate sustainable?
- What do you think about liquid staking with pStake and Stride?

Thank you my fellow enthusiasts and hail Hitler

>DOT or ATOM
AVAX beats both.
>Avalanche actually scales thanks to Subnets
>is decentralized
>sub second finality which means you press a button and your tx is forever on the blockchain in under a second while everyone else takes 20+ minutes
>ran by a gigabrain team, look up John Wu and Ted Yin

Polkadot is made by mentally ill pedophile (Gavin Wood) who admitted to raping and pozzing children with AIDS as his main fetish (no joke).
Cosmos is made by stuttering poojeets and the entire project is currently breaking apart because the foundation is a bunch of retards.

Despite the hype DOT did not get traction. ATOM is taken hostage by validators apparently. Lurk moar OP.

Source?
I feel like ATOM is completely fucked belief - which would explain why they're struggling so much to keep up with the competition. Honestly, I always though this whole "one gazillion chains" narrative was nothing more than a gimmick.

>DOT or ATOM
ATOM is for building blockchains and dApps. Polkadots is for building dApps exclusively (focused on defi only)
>What is the difference?
Read above
>How is a 15% stake rate sustainable
Good question, no clue. This isn't too rare though.
>pStake, Stride?
Never used either.

For me Cosmos has more going on for it because
A) DOT kind of stagnated since it's a little expensive to run things with it and people kinda stopped building stuff using it.
B) Cosmos + Kava + Wormhole have the potential to pretty much turn Polkadot, Fantom and a bunch other blockchains obsolete. If Kava succeeds, then $ATOM will have a metric ton of defi opportunities, lightning fast speed with almost no fees, and Wormhole will make it possible to essentially become a better DOT in the first place.

Note that staking ATOM, at least normally, will have a hefty fee. I think it'd be wiser to stake Kava instead.

They're liquid staking platforms. A while back they got affected by the Ankr exploit which completely fucked over their users in the most hilarious way possible.

They ended up getting reimbursed anyways so I guess it's all good

>> No.55692184

>>55692131
That's the issue though.
ATOM really NEEDS Kava to succeed because it feels like it's their only way to make a comeback after underperforming so much when compared to its competition.

There's a reason why they're giving such generous incentives for people who stake their tokens + literally paying devs to build on their ecosystem. They NEED to expand and they need it quickly

there's so much wrong here it's pointless to engage. Cosmos and Polkadot are both providing the same kind of solution, providing a shared environment for multiple app chains to be secured and interoperate. Polkadot's tech is better than Cosmos in every aspect. I hold both dot and atom btw
