The entry point isn't "attached" to any stock. When you buy shares for any amount of cash, you then have 0 dollars, and however many shares you have (analogous to buying a can of Coca Cola with money that you then no longer have).
If you then sell the shares for dollars, you have dollars again and you e.g. sell them for 50 dollars, you'll have "made 50 dollars" (like in the store where they sell you the coke). It's perfectly well possible to "make 50 dollars" and "lose 450 dollars" at the same time.
