I have only used metamask with valueless testnets.
I won't use metamask with anything valuable.

It's not like there's a command line alternative written in C, and I'm not smart enough to figure out this shit and make my own. I trust it just as much as any of the Go monstrosities we have as non-chrome extension alternatives.

They use infura as the default rpc, which collects ip addresses (and correlates them to your wallet address etc). I wouldn't touch it if you care about privacy at all.

>>55467476
You can use web3 library in JS + private RPC for max security.
I use that for long term wallet, just need 1 line for sending tokens.

The use another addresses with metamask for swap / SC operatiom

I've got tons of shitcoins on Metamask.

No point moving them to a ledger as they're worth shit anyway.

I would not unless you pair it with a Hardware wallet like a Ledger

Absolutely no, they do not. People on this board genuinely like being ignorant. They have a fetish for getting scammed. Every night they dream of being victim of a big big rugpull.

How do I make sure my metamask wallet isn’t compromised? I was being a retard some months ago and clicked on a token claim scam. It never actually signed anything as it froze on the transaction loading screen. Have been moving money there since then and haven’t gotten drained yet.

Get a brand new laptop, create the seed phrase there, disable the wifi and only buy and send coins to that address via another device.

It's safe but pretty retarded since you're relying on you never fucking up and accidentally downloading malware that can swipe your shit. Is that avoidable? Yeah. But this is what hardware wallets are made for and if you have "large funds" then you can surely spare like $100 to get a fucking HW wallet.

Get a Keystone One since Trezor can be hacked into if someone physically has it and Ledger is filled with fags who run closed source "just trust me bro" private key extracting firmware.

>> No.55472165

your large funds never left the blockchain you retard, nothing is in metamask

>> No.55472328

>>55467418
Get a Trezor and you'll sleep much better knowing the hardware device that stores the seed is literally airgapped and impossible for even compromised hardware to interact with.
