i think kratom is making my kidneys fail, my pee has gotten foamy and stinky lately. it has happened on and off ever since the second time i got covid when my left kidney got fucked up. at first it felt like a back ache and then my left upper back got itchy and had a weird feeling like water being forced through a lot of small tubes, and then my piss started to get foamy and brownish.

it gets better when i do intermittent fasting and exercise regularly and stop eating junkfood and kratom for easy dopamine. but the dopamine hits are the only way i deal with the psychic pain of being alive.

whenever i start to develop healthier coping mechanisms something stressful happens and i go right back to the maladaptive habits- kratom, slopfood, mediocre amounts of cheap booze. i was doing really good recently and then a close friend/coworker/volunteer overdosed and died (third one this year!) and then i got the flu in the same week and i have been having a hard time bouncing back.

i rationalize it by saying, at least i don't do real drugs anymore. but these legal dopamine boosts are killing me just as certainly as the crack and heroin ever did. i worry a lot about getting cancer or making my organs fail, especially from resting my laptop on my chest/stomach for hours at a time.

i am a weak and broken man at this point, my fight/flight response has been stuck on overdrive for at least the last year, and my already fucked dopamine/reward system is damaged from it, i can feel it.

i just want life to get *slightly* easier and then i will get healthy again. sometimes the veil lifts and things are easy for a few days or weeks but then it comes crashing back down, usually worse than before.

LIBOR was the most accurate interest rate benchmark because it was simply a survey of what intercontinental large and reputable banks would charge to lend to each other without collateral or unsecured. Part of the reason for this transition was the scandal somewhat recently revealed how governments and central banks were pressuring LIBOR panelists to lower their surveyed rate to change rates in the real economy because central banks don't actually control the broad money supply and operate like the Wizard of Oz. The Fed is also struggling with policy transmission since their interest rates only affect entities that can actually borrow from them. The transition to SOFR is a power move by the Fed to strengthen its blunt tool of overnight rates and reign in somewhat its oversight of the money supply domestically.

However, there is quite a difference between secured rates and unsecured rates. Most of the time it does not matter and they move together, but they deviate when collateral begins matter, UST. Shortly before March 2020, SOFR crashed while LIBOR rocketed because of the flight to safety and risk aversion. Unsecured rates went up, while rates secured by treasuries (safety) went down. There are some other oddities like when there is a treasury shortage, as the events by >>55446349 noted. When demand for UST as collateral is high, and entities aren't willing to part with theirs, Repo rates spike as the sellers of debt bid higher trying to buy UST and can't find any.

SOFR is built to be run on up-to-the-second granular transaction data, exactly what is provided by digital payment messaging systems. theoretically at least it would prevent manipulation because it's based on transaction data instead of a few banks who can easily call each other and go "hey can you bump the rate up a few points i need to make some money"

obviously they could use high frequency trading to manipulate the market, this is what happens all the time in the market anyway, but a) it wouldnt be as easy and b) if someone was doing this it would be more obvious and regulators could step in if they weren't all captured and corrupt

I've only been doing this a year or two and I live in a rural area. There is a murder of crows that lives at the back of my property which is about 200 yards from my house.
I have never had to lure them.

But generally I have a bird haven in my yard and the keys are simply putting out food (I have chickens so they come in after the chickens and have a lot of old big trees) and I've heard if you want to draw in a type of bird then you can basically just buy a decoy bird.

The solution is to fix the problems within the third world countries.
