This stupid fucking linkpool, arbitrum and chainlink logo is not some magical path to my wallet
I'm not interested in your shitcoin and tossing word salad at me with a Linkpool/Arbitrum/Chainlink meme isn't going to convince me to invest.
I'm not interested in your meme token and tossing word salad at me and telling me not to miss out (trying to prey on FOMO, what a piece of shit) isn't going to convince me to buy your heavy bags.
Posting these stupid fucking faggot memes is not a free pass. It doesn't make your bullshit cool and hip, it makes you a manipulative faggot who took a meme and tried to capitalize on it
Very few coins have actual practical uses, and most of those practical uses are buying drugs. Most of it is a thinly veiled pump and dump scheme weakly propelled by globohomo memes.
I'm putting my fucking foot down. You stinky linkie fucking pajeets, turks, finns and russians are getting called out.
Stop pushing Schwabs fucking retarded agenda for your grift.

Think we're at 39 projects so far, and we're only midway through the first year. Early stakers will see airdrops from each of these projects.
Hand on heart this is by far and away the best investment I have ever made, and I was early enough to have a good position in it.
I think i speak for many of us when i say i'd rather it took time and was bulletproof than rushing it in any way and risk a single hack/exploit.
This is the stuff of legends and we actually saw it coming. That is rare.

Chainlink has a strong incentive to make the original BUILD airdrops valuable enough that they attract attention, and they don't have a firm date on launching them.
I literally think they're just going to wait until the market is at a point where they can work the optics to say "look how much people made for staking with us". It's much better marketing than just drip feeding stakers a bunch of worthless tokens that are yet to take off..
This might take a short time, or a long time, but I think the first round stakers have a lot of reasons to be comfy.

I don't. I have no idea. My guess is that is not the case, as it would seem a little unfair and what would be the point? The more decentralised the project is the better, right? Why go for a LESS centralised version?

>> No.55388458

>>55388356
Didn't take that position at all. In fact everything I said is premised on the idea that Chainlink wants to recruit more retail into staking and so showers its early stakers with gifts to convey that message.

>> No.55388483

>>55388411
I meant less DE-centralised version, obvs. Sergey has always seemed to take a philosophical view of matters, and my feeling is that he wouldn't wish to prevent retail from owning part of the network. What i think is likely though, is that at some point bottomless moneypits like Blackrock will push the token price so high in a bid to own as much of the supply as possible, that the returns from staking per token fall too low to make token purchase desirable to retail. Ofc we'll all alright jack, since we got in early. Either way we'll be increasingly better off as things develop.

That's perfect english. Im saying that you wont even get most of the airdrops, not that they wont be worth anything. If you read the screencap you would see that you dont actually qualify for every airdrop from just staking.

This stems from some anon's poor reading comprehension misinterpreting a CLL post about v.0.2 staking.

It said something about "in v.0.2, the v.0.1 stakers will be able to restake" and some 4chan idiot imagined it meant "only v.0.1 stakers" will be able to do something ... but in reality there was no "only" in the statement.

Because locking up all your assets for an indefinite period of time for 4.75% return in a world of 15% background inflation, with a cratering asset value wasn't a good move at the time. I say that as someone who staked as well.

>> No.55390395

>>55390349
The only way staking 0.1 will be considered a smart play is if either 0.1 wallets get whitelisted for future staking with retail no longer having access to the initial pool unless using one of those whitelisted wallets, and/or link runs against the market like it did in 2019 (already needs almost a 2x in sats to justify staking). Neither of these is likely, this shit is dead.

>> No.55390469

>>55390223
I criticised your reading ability, not the english in the pic. Fucking hell, you're thick.
The question asked 2 things about LATER versions of staking.
1. The staking rate.
The respondent replied that he couldn't say. 4.75% APY is only guaranteed for the duration of v0.1
2. Build airdrops.
The respondent replied that he couldn't say, as the conditions attached may be different BEYOND v0.1

These comments are about what comes AFTER v0.1. For v0.1 stakers will receive 4.75% in Link PLUS airdrops from Build projects. The amount we do not yet know, but we are to receive them.

This post isn't really for you, asshole, but for anyone who is liable to take your boring fud seriously.

>> No.55390573

I know you're trolling but whatever. Why would the question ask if we will be getting LINK at 4.75% in later versions of staking, if it was asking about the current rate? He's asking about what happens in later versions of staking, and the guy answers that he doesn't know; that there may be different conditions attached over and above having participating in v0.1 staking. It's very clear but keep trying if you like. I can keep going for fun.

Look at it this way, the more people get into the staking pool, the smaller the build airdrops will be. Right now, the APY from staking through node operators is PITIFUL (node operators get 5.25% and then they have to share that reward with EVERYONE who's staking with them as opposed to you staking X amount and getting 4.75% no questions asked) so I don't expect them to expand the community staking pool and instead increase the allotment for node operators to stake (the extra 50M to get to 75M in total staked till they get to v1.0).
