As much as I like the movie "heat" I prefer the movie "collateral", the latter is better aligned to business and finance in the real world. Heat is too well known for its flashy shootout scenes and frankly too long complicated by the relationships between investigator and criminal and their own families. Chris's escape from the cops was too fictional and the showdown in the airport runway is too flashy and unrealistic despite being great cinema. Collateral is a financial term in itself and the movie is a lot like the real world of business. Max is a simple wage worker that struggles to make his own business while vince is a pure businessman that took it too far and ends his life strictly around his business. I think it speaks a lot about how to invest in stocks. Don't marry yourself into the game or follow a company led by vince's they will burn a good thing down. Think more like max at the end of collateral, not afraid to make a risk but not forgetting your obligations to other people that will ground your decisions and investing strategies.
