All dogs need discipline and intense training. The amount of retardation surrounding dogs is insanity. No one seems to understand how dogs think anymore due to the advertising in the 50s onwards and just want a dumb friend.
They'll do stupid things like shout angrily at the dog as it runs off into the street expecting it to run back to them because it fears future punishment. Dogs can't think like that at all and will only return if there is a positive incentive.
But they shouln't be running off anyway. If you train your dog to 'sit' for hours it fuckling loves that time because it knows exactly what it's supposed to be doing. Whereas most think that's being cruel because they can't imagine sitting still for hours.

It's a shame for the breeds imo. Those are the dogs who need the most rigorous training and discipline.

There are even courses offered where the trainers are trying to teach the professional way but lets people drop out before finishing or doesn't even know how to do the other half of the training which is the call off. The most important fucking part.
