crypto has been a farce ever since this cretin entered the game and ruined everything. The SEC's smothered the legitimate crypto industry in its grave, killed off ICOs, only allowing in shady private investors and 'hedge funds' like alameda. Legit projects sold their souls for that ICO money and now they are all being dumped relentlessly and will continue to be until the vesting periods are finished and they have run out of money.
Any new useful project is now raising magnitudes less than two years ago and the doxxed team could go to jail if the SEC is feeling particularly trollish that day.
The only people left able to innovate are cottage industry devs and scammers who are too small to be noticed and can fuck around with the tech without needing to pay attention to hundreds of pages of rules telling them what they can and can't do.
It's no wonder memecoins are exploding - the barrier for entry is incredibly small these days and frankly, they are the only thing still offering what everyone in crypto is here for - the chance of that 1000x that changes everything.
