Bought in 2013 on an FHA loan with 3.5% down. Refinanced to a conventional in 2015 once I had 20% equity - saved me from having to pay PMI. Refinanced into a 15-year at 2.25% in 2021.

My "rent" (interest + taxes + insurance) is under 600/mo for a home worth 550k with a pool. It would be around 2600/mo to rent this place, and my total investment was under 10k.
