Should restaurants be required to pack a treat bag for the drivers so they don't tamper with the food? This would cost pennies rather than requiring a large tip of $20 or more.

it's way worse than pizza delivery boy.
Delivery boys have guaranteed hours, guaranteed pay, make tips reliably and at least some benefits, and typically drive a business vehicle that isn't their own. They're cucks on every front.

this is why pizza places only deliver. you can look at a pizza a tell if its been eaten some or not. plus it takes 10 minutes for a pizza to cool down before eating.

They get paid anywhere from $1.25 to $4.00 base fare, while the delivery app takes the rest for a cut. I'd say at least ~70% of what they take each job comes from tips given. Your tips effectively pay them to bring you your food, but the app service isn't taking a large percentage, they take a very meagre cut.

Fact is, it's very expensive to have somebody run your stuff in your stead, very low margin business, barely sustainable unless people understand the value and cost of it all, and are willing and can pay to cover those costs mainly to the drivers. When it comes to rides, the margins are larger because they compete with traditional taxis and public transportation.

i understand that foresight is something this particular demographic lacks but doing this costs the costumer nothing as they now get a full refund
not to mention you wasted both your own time and money delivering half a fast food order for what, 5 bucks? lmao.
maybe the problem isnt the fat retard ordering the slop, maybe its your employer that
>structured the job to be contract work, so you are ineligible for any benefits
>forces you to rely on tips rather than actually paying a wage
i dont order doordash/uber, because you obviously cannot trust a swarthy individual to handle your food. but, these fake videos may be a blessing in disguise. consumers are becoming keenly aware that tipping is seen as compulsory to these ape delivery drivers, under threat of tampering with your food.
the less people using these awful services the better.

>> No.55114680

Really it's about either how stupid, or how much one values their time for instant gratification. The costs you don't necessarily think about, fuel, but also the abstract cost of time mainly become realized when you have to cover it for someone else. Arguably their time is more valuable because they're trading labor for income from a consumer, but valued only by what the market says it's worth. Just get a bunch of blacks and indians to drive 10 miles one way for $6.00

Being a white doordash driver in a white neighborhood is fucking kino. Half the time, customers will even go back and leave a bigger tip just for delivering their food on time. Shitskin drivers like the one in the OP probably don't even know that's a thing because it never happens to them

When will it be required that all restaurants have to start putting tamper-evident sealing on their take-out boxes? Seems like the best solution.

It took one video of a girl licking ice cream in the supermarket to push basically all of the major ice cream producers to put a tamper-evident seal the lid. I've seen at least 20 videos of doordashers and delivery drivers fucking with the food they're delivering, and nobody seems to care.

>> No.55114746

For a while, every restaurant was doing this because of the coof, but then they stopped giving a shit. I always thought they were a good idea which reduces risk both for customers and people handling the food

Niggers do that no matter what you tip them and "le penny pinching customer" is just how they try to inb4 stupid fucking niggerlovers about them doing this. If you live in an area with niggers you just go to get the food yourself, or at least don't order fries and drink with your order. You will not get them, and it will be "yo the restaurant forgotta put it in there dawg" every time.
t. 60% black city exister

>> No.55114802

>>55114746
it's just very expensive to the point that it is a bad idea. blacks servicing poor black areas is a lose lose situation for everyone.
Even if there's demand, it won't pay anything, because the consumers can't afford it, and then the drivers too stupid to work a traditional job take it out of desperation, they're pissed because they made nothing in an hour, maybe they take it out on the customer so the customer is disappointed, and then in the end the driver's beater shitbox breaks down and they're totally screwed.

It only works in extremely wealthy, extremely dense, very hectic and businesses oriented urban areas. The operator is just fine because they get free VC money in the good times and have global access to good markets in the tough times.

or you can ask restaurant to use staple just to secure cointainer. When you picking up order you can see if it was violated. start filming doordash nigger during pickup and after this you can request for refund. You will have free half requested food, money back and usually some discount for bad service. Nigger will be fired on spot. One more thing. Never give a tip before delivering.

I always get worse results when I tip high on DD.

I've never tipped somebody something ridiculously low like the Boomers in MSN comments who feel rectified in offering nothing up front and handing the Dasher dead inside enough to take a chance on them a dollar in quarters. What I do tip, though, is the lowest recommended amount rounded to the nearest dollar. I've felt charitable in the past and tipped the highest, but every time I do that my order is fucked with somehow. The lids are off the containers, fluid has spilled into the bag, the food's upside down and disassembled if it's something like a sandwich, or other obvious signs of negligence and mishandling.

I've never had this experience when I tip the low end. It arrives in immaculate condition. If something is missing, I just get that expense back from the DD service.

I'm starting to think that wagies sense weakness if you tip them high and react with contempt.

It's fascinating how fucked up some services are in the US. I live in Russia which is considered to be inferior to US in many ways (lmao), but here the delivery services somehow manage to pay their delivery men a descent amount. Descent enough that a tip is considered completely optional. 90% of the time we get deliveries on time, so most of the people tip only when the delivery was really fast, 50% faster than estimated by the app or so.

I'm not that interested in delivery services to conduct a research, but it seems like the restaurants pay for the delivery, not the customer. I work from home and usually use an app to get the groceries, the prices in the app are either the same as at the store or sometimes even lower. This means that I pay exactly 0 rubles for the delivery. Must be the store then. Is that uncommon in the US or something?
