Long story short the house we are renting is being repossessed by homeland security because the owner got arrested.

His wife informed me they havent paid any property taxes since 2019 so there about 40k or so owed.
Is there a way to contact them to take over the tax payments owed and become the new owner of the house?
Im not entirely sure how this works or even who to call and talk to about it.
