I would advise first going in person to a reputable tarot reader and actually experiencing the process from that point of view. Suffice to say I did it once and was immediately convinced that there was something strange happening. I was told things that no one could possibly know and future events happened as they were described. This probably doesn't make sense, but in my opinion it is not paranormal. It's something natural that's occurring but it is not understood how it works.

From there you'll find many books on the subject. I can't really recommend one specifically, but any dealing with basic spreads and the meaning behind each card is fine. If you read up on Jungian archetypes you'll begin to understand the Major Arcana as something that's innate. Read some classical literature and epics, you'll start to understand storytelling and its relationship with psychology and spirituality. You'll gradually develop a more nuanced understanding of the tarot symbolism and its various interpretations.

Also chicks dig it and will lick your peepee if you know how to read their cards.

I should also mention that you can just use a regular pack of playing cards to perform cartomancy (divination with cards). Playing cards are based on the Tarot and there are approximate 1-to-1 meanings.

If you have a more Christ-centered spirituality I would recommend this method as the symbolism of the regular playing cards more closely aligns with the Christian pantheon and Christian esotericism.

I try not to use geomancy for material gain too much, for a mixture of complex spiritual reasons, but the same restrictions don't apply to financial astrology, so I'm slowly trying to learn renaissance astrology as a baseline before I move on to Gann and other stock market astrologers. I hope to be an astrologer and Picatrix talisman maker as a long term career, with swing trading via financial astrology as a hobby and long term investment strategy. My working theory is that the human brain is a lot more powerful than we typically suspect. We're talking about a decision making mechanism that has had millions of years of evolution behind it. (Did you know actually that you might have some of your ancestors more traumatic memories stored in the base of your spine?) But a lot of this mechanism is done under the hood and it's happening unconsciously. Things like the tarot, the I-Ching, Ouija boards, etc. allow us to explore these more subtle thought processes in a structured manner, converting unconscious thought into conscious thought. Nope, geomancy was the number 2 biggest divination tool during the Renaissance, right after Horary Astrology. I've experimented with picking stocks through a pendulum and then swing trading them. I've done this with 10 stock and I made money on 6 out of 10 of them. Statistically, having a 60% hit rate is insanely good -certainly good enough to become rich- but I pussied out with further experimentation because when I did lose money I found it psychologically untenable and I was never quite sure whether or not it was actually working or whether I was getting lucky.
I suppose I should set aside an amount of money I'm willing to lose, and then do a trial where I pick a 100 stock to see if there's actually a statistically significant edge.
Other than that, there's a definite link between astrology and the market's movements but I never delved deep enough into astrology to be able to exploit that link.
