Also for the first in her life last winter my mum didn't have enough money to pay electricity bills. In the end she had to wear ski socks & ski jackets for months because the house was at 14°.
Oh and in 2008 my dad lost his job & started a long term depression & is now on meds.

If everyone can see a catastrophe coming then it usually means the smart people saw it coming years or even decades ago and have already been preparing for it. Those predictions are usually made as if no one was going to prepare or fight back in anyway but of course they do.
