Long story short; back in 2022 state legislature ear marked 200 million for raises to be given out in 2023. Well they only forked out 90 million of it. Equates to an 6% raise this July for me. So that leaves 110 million just there for more raises next year. (which would be another 6-7% raise). This money is already "spent" so there would be no bickering about "oh we can't do it", really the only question would be "how much" next year.
