Fuck, repost, didn't read the last post before mine was new bake:

My god i hate DAX and his bullshit recoveries. I know it rises every year more with dividends. From May 2nd to now it has risen by 170 points. because of the dividends, but still these recoveries are primarily US driven and it's fuckn disgusting how burgers always pump EU back up. You can't not take profits. You are stupid if you hold your shorts.

All this while german industry goes down, no orders, no production, 0% gdp, higher rates and china imports shit the bed.

HSI? China? Well China can't get out of their post covid slump it seems. Maybe they don't even want it. Maybe a global recession is the goal. It's pretty obvious China is changing their import/export policy and turning to homemade products to hurt foreign economies. This probably in an effort to weaken the west before finally invading Taiwan in a few years.

They see what the west did to russia, so maybe the goal is now to reverse it preemptvely. Their no-covid policy is over and they still do nothing the official data appears to say, at least export/import.

Have you tried shorting individual companies or sectors within the DAX? Maybe ones hit particularly bad by the retarded energy policy or strikes or something.

The burger equivalent is that the S&P and Nasdaq have retard strength; you'd get immensely frustrated waiting for them to go down this year thanks to dumb shit like AAPL and META. However going after banks or smaller companies in the Russell 2000 has been quite profitable.

MARKET CRASHES TODAY

>Strong G3-class geomagnetic storms are possible today, May 11th, when a CME is expected to hit Earth's magnetic field. During G3-class storms auroras have been sighted in the USA as far south as Oregon, Nebraska and Virginia.
>At the time, the CME was traveling faster than 1,000 km/s (2.2 million mph). Shock waves at its leading edge accelerated protons to nearly light speed; they have been peppering our planet's upper atmosphere for the past two days. These are signs of a potent CME, fully capable of causing a geomagnetic storm when it reaches Earth.
>According to NOAA's latest forecast model, the impact should occur on May 11th at approximately 1200 UT. A NASA model predicts 1800 UT. The difference gives a sense of the uncertainty in both models

Why not open a futures account and buy VIX futures directly so you don't get hit with the daily rebalancing decay. You'll still have to deal with contango but you'll have the choice of which expiration month you want, you'll have the choice of rolling or not rolling up until your contract expires. There's the regular VIX and the minivix if you are a smol timer. There's a Euro vix called VSTOXX too you can check out. As far as buying developed market ETFs, in the futures market you have equity indexes for most European countries, as well as the STOXX euro 50 and 600, there's the European bank index, the Nikkei for Japan, the Taiwanese index, the Indian Nifty 50, Australia, China, of course the US S&P 500, Nadsaq, Dow, midcap 400, Russell 2000, etc. etc. and unlike with ETFs you have total control over how much leverage you want, you can go in 3x like with SPXL but you don't have to rebalance every day so there isn't the decay. You can trade almost 24 hours a day, taxes are better, you can short as easily as you can go long. And so forth

It's the lower class that is imploding.
We are going to have 95% poverty, 4% middle class, .9% upper middle class, .0999% upper class and then god's chosen people using everyone like slaves.
They'll get rid of most branches, banks will go completely online, they dump the commercial real estate and use this cycle of inflation to pay less real money to the few remaining employees. Better be a good goy or the bank will seize your account and funds for social justice. Unless you are white of course, then your account will be drained regularly to give to jamal, who will do nothing but buy overpriced shoes and clothes and hang around schools to fuck your daughter and mutt your grandchildren.

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried is seeking the dismissal of 10 of the 13 charges against him over the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange. Axios reports:
Lawyers for Bankman-Fried, who's pleaded not guilty to fraud, conspiracy, campaign finance law violations and money laundering, in a filing argued that several of the charges failed to properly state an offense. The motion that was filed to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York is seeking the dismissal of 10 of the 13 charges against him.
"Simply making a false statement, by itself, does not constitute wire fraud unless it is made for the purpose of obtaining money or property from the victim of the fraud," Bankman-Fried's lawyers wrote.

According to Ars Technica, SBF's lawyers are essentially arguing that there's no evidence of harm caused because fraud requires a "scheme to cause economic loss to the victim," which prosecutors allegedly haven't proved. Instead, SBF alleges that federal prosecutors have concocted "a hodgepodge of different intangible losses" suffered by banks and lenders -- including "the right to honest services," "the loss of control of assets," and "the deprivation of valuable information." [...] "In the end, the Government is trying to transform allegations of dishonesty and unfair dealing into violations of the federal fraud statutes," SBF's lawyers wrote. "While such conduct may well be improper, it is not wire fraud."

The 31-year-old Bankman-Fried, who is currently under house arrest on a $250 million bond at his parents' home in Palo Alto, California, faces more than 155 years in prison if convicted on all counts. A trial has been scheduled for October.

Guys, how do you cope when you have that one big and heavy bag in your portfolio that's weighing you down? I am doing mostly fine but one particular stock is really just shitting itself. DCAing is kinda difficult since it could easily go much lower and the bag is substantial so I'd have to drop a lot of money on it to get it down... fugggggg

the short selling ban in 2008 directly caused the massive stock market crash because it shut off liquidity to the upside since shorts didn't need to give back the stock they borrowed, effectively locking away nearly all the upside liquidity
