Anyone intelligent knows there was no reason for it to go so long if the SEC was in the right. No reason to only delist XRP when there is over 12 cryptos declared securities without even being sued that are still being sold and even working with the government like XLM which is partnered with the CFTC

There is no legitimate good reason. Basic analysis shows that the large majority of cryptos are commodities. Gensler himself even said it while teaching. He would have stated they were securities at the congressional hearing to solidify his enforcement actions and authority over the space but he didn’t want to lie.
It is clear they are only delaying as long as possible.. I’m sure for multiple reasons some good and bad.
To speculate:
for the government/big players to find out which networks are the best and get in cheap.
Figure out proper regulations and the best environment to succeed in the space over foreign entities
Continue shady actions (such as ftx) before regulations
Reasons related to ww3, economic warfare… China Russia etc.

The only documents I’ve ever seen have declared a few cryptos commodities not securities. Only governance tokens are securities because they actually provide voting power and proportional “ownership” over the protocol. Success of the protocol dictates price action in a stable market.
Utility tokens do not provide ownership shares or voting power (at least as primary functions).
Remember the SEC targets leaders in the space prior to regulation.. look at Amazon and apple etc. they all crushed afterwards. I don’t think the SEC even “wants” to “win”.
