Everyone seems to fail to grasp that because we are in fiat currency, we can keep doing this forever and nothing has to change.

Lets go over the basic fundamental idea of what the concept of an economy is or more specifically the concept of currency. The famous line of saying "it's just money, it's made up" is just one part of it. The other part of it deals with how society perceives it. We are in fiat currency which means we can bend reality to how we want it. Let's say Garry is 1000 dollars in debt but only has 50 dollars to his name. Well all you need to do is just erase a couple zeros and he is only 10 dollars in debt and now he can easily pay that off and still have 40 dollars left. All you have to do is change the way society sees and accepts what is currently in front of them. If you can make them believe that the national debt is no longer an issue then it wont be an issue because we have simply wiped out those numbers and started a new floor.

Reality is what we make of it, the phrase "mind over matter" or what we now know it as "meme magic" is a lot more powerful than you might think if utilized correctly.

If we had storms as powerful as the midwest here in California, then the entire country would just not have any food. Of course, that is an oxymoronic hypothetical because the whole reason CA is so fertile is because the mountains to the east of the central valley deposit snowmelt into the floodplains. And it is those exact mountains that prevent the formation of tornadoes and derechos.

HIFS is a 5 year horizon hold imo, it's a boomer regional bank that isn't for swinging. Just going to slurp until i hit a 300 bps max position. There has been a good amount of insider buying on HIFS recently, pic related. Not all of these are buys but most are.

>Shoppers Find Beyond Meat at Dollar Tree for $1.25
Lol, holy fuck. BYND is not doing well. Their meat is no available at the 'super-poor' grocery store. With negative gross margins, BYND is pretty much not making anything on any of their products.

Is it any surprise that Amerisharts don't like the literal goyfeed basedbean paste patties? There are cultures that have evolved for thousands of years to eat dishes not requiring meat and have tons of meat alternatives that are FAR superior to this dogshit made by BYND.

I mean holy fucking shit if you want a meat alternative learn what jackfruit is. Jackfruit literally tastes like shredded meat and people have been using it as the meat-like base for dishes for millennia but Americans decided to go for the goyfeed instead.

On rare occasion when i work mornings at the uni I witness this phenomenon first hand. Walk through the food court at 8:45am and see the two or three standing in front if the Tim Hortons. The security gate is close but the employees are there getting ready to open for 9. The people in line stare at them. The employees try not to make eye contact through the gate. If they fail to open that gate precisely at 9, one of the people (an Karen) will approach it and say "excuse me, you're supposed to open at...".

This is truly horrific. Nightmarish. Just imagine being filled with the constant dread of being a wagie who has to deal with customers in a restaurant setting.

Fast food is grossly overpriced but retards don't understand unit price so they think they're getting a deal. Say a company's shares are worth $100, they earn $5, and pay you $5, that's arguably worse than them buying back the stock until it's worth $105.

If you own, say, 100 shares, you're forced to cash in $500 worth of dividends and pay tax on it. With the buyback approach you can sell 5 of the $105 shares, or 10, or 0. It's a variable you control based on your tax and financial situation.

Other Anon alluded to it (and is dead right about taxes). But I’ll make it clear.

XYZ company has stock price and declares a $2.50 div. That means the stock will trade at $47.50 on record date. So dividends are worthless unless you’re a long term investor. It’s in fact against SEC policy to recommend a client buy a security because it’s offering a dividend soon.
