If you take a step back and consider all this from a big picture historical perspective, it used to be that the market dropping some hundreds or thousands used to be an entire decades long recession. Economic policy has been one attempt at preventing the cause of the previous downturn and waiting around until the next one happens and fixing that one, and so forth and so forth. In 2008, the collapse of the banks along with various other factors was what led to the Great Recession. But we learned from that too, so now that we are watching bank collapsing, instead of panic that would have set off another financial downturn, there are now regulations and plans in place in order to prevent the entire system from failing. You forget, but we call this "Too big to fail". There really is nothing to see here, so long as the government money printer goes brrrrr, nothing will ever happen.
