>in a new team filled with temporary consultants and contractors and we've all been dumped on a work area and there's not enough work for this week

How often do you sit in your comfy wfh set up and randomly laugh out loud at the thought of being paid so much for so little? For me, it's 2 to 3 times a day.

Lots to do but at least im gonna make a lot this month. Plus I might be going on my first ever work-sponsored trip next week

Open notepad

You'll show as active all day

The trick is to also uninstall all Microsoft MDM spyware from work.

Based salesnigger

These threads are odd cause sales actually has to work to make money. We’re essentially turbowagies. Nothing feels quite as good as a commission check that equates to 3 months salary, however.

Enjoy ur trip make sure to blow out that expense report, if you’re with fellow sales chads drinking makes sure to throw at least one piece of food with your 18+ drink multi hundred bartab

Do people actually autistically watch your "active" status? I never bother with that. Some people just straight up disabled their status indicators. I leave it on because who gives a fuck if they know I'm not actively at the computer right now. I have access to the chat on my phone so I can answer questions from product guys or lower tier engineers right away. At my company as long as you are actually producing something at a reasonable rate no one really gives a fuck how many actual hours you work. My team is always way ahead of schedule on contracts that rely on other companies anyway. We just put that stuff first and get it done months in advance then boeing or whoever the fuck isn't even done on time and the project goes a year longer anyway.

>>54743973
This is what it's like for me. I do actually work, and I even get just as much done as when I was in the office. Except now I get to go lift whenever, go work on my racecar whenever, help my wife with the littles when she needs it, walk the dogs, whatever needs to happen. Plus no commuting. Save the porpoises or something right?

I work from home. I get paid $150k to occasionally send an email in between sessions stroking the dolphin to videos of this broad getting pounded in the ass. My boss just gave me a performance review, praised me for the work I've been doing, gave me the highest possible ratings, and I got the largest raise in the department's history. Do I feel guilty?

Not. One. Bit.

Yeah sales is tough, especially right now. However I work at a small software development agency (we build everything from small websites for restaurants to enterprise tech for f500s and universities) and our government work is going absolutely nuts right now. We're overhauling basically every government website in Chicagoland (or in the running for it) as we speak.

I may have understated how small we are - my boss (the founder) and I are the entire sales team. We have 14 engineers and a project manager though. So I'm gonna *try* not to blow the budget since it'll come right out of my paycheck lol.

Problem is it's for a government agency in Nevada and they're headquartered in, yes, Vegas. so it'll be fun

My father worked in sales for a long time. He dropped a corporate salaried job for it for short-term income growth and always told me it was a wrong move. Unless you're actually pulling in absolutely huge money 300-400K/yr+ I don't think the lifestyle is worth it. I make 250K on salary and I assist with sales but it's not my sole responsibility. I am only 30 years old. I had people telling me to go into sales earlier in my career because I could make maybe 250-300K but the sales lifestyle would mean I'm selling all the time to do that. Maybe I got a 5-7 year head start on that income level, but now, I get my paycheck every 2 weeks on time and not a cent different. There's a HUGE psychological comfort in knowing it does not rely on continued sales forever. Like I said I'd only go into sales if I was making like double. People that do sales for like 50-100-150 make no sense to me unless they couldn't get a job like that otherwise on salary. It needs huge upside to be worth it.

Gov work can be really comfy if you're in a good area for it. My fiancee is in admin at a top school district (in a state with great public worker pay, and a pension deficit to prove it) and it seems like a great job. WELL over 6 figures, great benefits, pension, etc. Good stuff

i started breathing property using the wim hof method. now ill never buy weed again. another $500/mo for slurping.

there's more to it but basically you can get stoned by hyperoxygenation.

>sit down and breathe deeply, focus on nothing but breathing
>completely fill your lungs on the inhale
>pause
>slowly exhaust all the air until you can't exhaust any more
>repeat for at least 3 minutes
>each breath cycle should last at least 15 seconds
>when you are ready for liftoff take one last deep breath, maxxing out your capacity.
>stand up

euphoria every time not to mention the health benefits
