What happens if the US government doesn't bail out FRC?
Is the system gonna collapse?
FRC were threatening that it could end up costing the larger banks $30BN each in FDIC fees if they didn't get a bail out.

frc will get taken over by FDIC, then their assets will get sold off. they aren't actually a systemic threat despite their hysterics, but they are suffering from broader economic weakness that is hurting most other banks

If this offbrand bank is the only real problem then they are absolutely bailing it out. Compare this shit to 2008. nothingburger.

If the FCID keeps acquiring banks and selling the assets off, keeping in mind ~180 other banks had investment structures similar in nature with the same weaknesses, who is buying these toxic assets? Will the FCID just turn into a mega-bank full of derivative sludge that assplodes all over the global markets? The FCID is a government entity...would the government assplode?

contagion, middle class software devs exodus from cali means they took their money elsewhere

>> No.54742675

There are only 33 systemically important banks (33 huh?). If FRC has deposits from one of the important banks or from employees at one of the important banks, it'll be bailed out.

You're missing the larger issue here which is they are 1 of 5 that has now failed globally and will not be the last. They fall, the dominoes kep falling. Exposure of other banks to them hurts and more go down. The hysterics aren't for FRC, it's for what's happening in front of your eyes over past two months.
