My assumption from the start was that inflation was one-off and that the Fed overreacted with QT (which started a global QT cycle, afaik for currency defence). Kinda seems like they 'fixed' inflation by risking a recession. Yes prices go down in a recession but the cure is worse than the disease. I still wonder if they should have just done nothing, I think they'll have to do Yield Curve Control at some point anyhow to keep the debt manageable (since USgov will never ever sober up the deficit)

Yield Curve Control doesn't really equal inflationary though, in the sense of CPI increase. If anything you can get runaway inflation exactly with high yields, because you have to print more and more money to monetize the interest on old debt (which is inflationary in the Austrian sense). Argentina has sky-high 78% interest rates with runaway inflation, Japan had YCC, 250% debt to GDP, and did not. I personally suspect linking inflation to rates in a crude fashion is a rather barbaric way to think about inflation.

Well from this perspective, "AI" is just doing what coders have been reluctant to do since the dawn of code: A script that translates the english language into code. It's still limited and chatGPT and the like is just like the chess engine "AI". It has a niche problem set that it is good at. There are perhaps more niche problem sets that "AI" can be applied to, but that isn't infinite. The coding stuff is still even useful to someone who is good at code just by shear speed.
