why haven't you taken the DEBTMAXXX pill? want to own a house? easy. just apply for a mortgage. want a new car? you're qualified, just go to a $0 down, buy here pay here lot. need a new phone? finance it. student loans? just stop paying them and let them garnish your wages, they can't garnish >25%. owe money on your debt? just get a new credit card and do a balance transfer. if corporations can perpetually refinance billions in debt, why can't you? really, if you aren't living the DEBTMAXXX lifestyle you aren't living. it's simply a matter of showing up, speaking with the loan officer, looking him in the eye, giving him a firm handshake, and telling him that you want MORE DEBT.

You are missing one very important thing in this plan. Peace of mind of financial freedom - let me explain. In you plan you have to think about your debt and how to scheme all the time. You have to devote brain cycles to your plan and cannot be "free". If you have no debt, own your house, have not cc debt, and owe nobody, you are free. Being free from debt is the best feeling in life - you owe NOBODY. You will never get this feeling in life following the debtmaxxx plan. You will think of a witty response to this message like "Jew hands typed this" or similar, but it's not true. No interest, no transfers of debt, no worry about being served debt papers, no worry about maxing out credit cards and being denied - just pure financial freedom. I laugh at those who think debtmaxxx is a lifestyle worth living. I laugh at those who have to plan and execute a bankruptcy. You live a miserable life and you know it deep down which feels even worse than most things you can encounter on this earth. Life is many times better when you don't owe anybody anything. Cope harder.

I'm 27 and by the time I was a junior in high school, the student debt bubble had already been shown to the general public and everybody had essentially been told the truth that it really doesn't matter where you go for undergrad so long as you graduate with above a 3.8. It's pretty ridiculous.

How much would the average 11,14,16,17,18 year old usually be judged be to capable of handling responsibly finance wise. Hundred bucks, Couple of hundred. Couple of thousand absolute maximum.

Then the gooberment via schools suggests they should jump direct to 50-100k just
>because

Even with stem degrees, the jobs are definitely not there in those quantities, complexities or salaries.

I'm not against the idea of paying for additional training but even then with stem degrees there's the above to consider and that the courses no longer grade or represent pure science work etc, it's based on numerous presentations and soft skill type coursework that can be used to level grading.

As an example, I scored over 90% on one computer based exam yet my coursework went for approximately 70 in the first year, while we were applying for placement, down to an average of 60 or so. There were people on course not even handing work in scoring 60. And others with next to zero idea about what they were doing scoring 50. I managed to fail one module, quite remarkably, as it involved inhaled drug formulation and happened to have worked in the inhalation department of the largest pharmaceutical company on the planet where those drugs were originally discovered; the chief science officer for the UK worked in the same department at the same time. Grade, ~28%? Lol

One of the lecturer actually got into an argument with someone who works at the company telling them how they didn't know what they were talking about, without realising the person actually works I'm giant pharma r&d department for reals.

May as well just be making the shit up at this point. And this is with quantative science based degrees.

>serious lack of actual hands on lab skills

Yeah. It's because if they actually graded it that way, the unis would have to shed a large number of their cash cow students.

The lack of very, very basic science awareness even quantative degrees now is crazy. E.g. people with degrees in molecular identification and quantification who can't work out that a yield of 900% is a bit suspicious; I.e. they've weighed a sample bottle with the cap off and then on afterwards, and can't figure that out.

I dunno man I guess people are just idiots

Don't go to the most prestigious and expensive college unless you're getting a full ride, or the payout is worth it I guess?
Look for internships and try to jump on scholarship opportunities.
Make sure the school is accredited.
Consider a trade school and build up cash so you don't need to take that large of a loan or one at all.
Don't listen to your friends when they give you a crazy business idea and want you to drop out for it?

You know that being said, a lot of the drop outs I know actually ended up making more than me, but that's because they were such tech nerds that they got it through their skills. God knows how they got the contacts though, because they were socially awkward.
I guess that's a lesson that if you're an obsessive computer recluse then there are headhunters out there who want you, just prove you can bathe and aren't completely obnoxious to be around, or at least that hiring you is worth that cost.
Meant as encouragement, I respect those guys a lot.

The library in a public college campus is free to walk into, you can walk freely amoung campus hangouts, no one is checking IDs, classes don't take attendance you can just sit in on a class. You can work at the fast food places everyone goes to to meet students, or set up a free "cultural" event "in the quad" or common space with free pizza, congratulations you've met every needy freshman willing to give pussy for breadsticks. Out of state tuition is nearly 3x on average what in state tuition costs, and since college for most people is about the "college experience," they prioritize getting as far away from mommy and daddy over getting a quality education at the lowest possible price. High school grads have dream schools, but don't realize that nobody in the workforce really gives two shits about where you went to school. As long as it's an accredited institution, that's all that matters.

Private universities on average are closer to 4x the cost of tuition at an in-state public school.

You can also use student loans to make a lot of extraneous purchases and call them education expenses. ie. Buying a $2k MacBook to take notes in class when a $300 laptop would get the job done just as well.

>It's legal because you fucking idiots actually bought the lie that schools/the government are your friend

Yeah, because schools beating that shit into your head in your formative years definitely isn't wrong or immoral or anything. Why do you dumb fucks always forget about that part?

What gets me is that there’s only so many STEM jobs out there, and given the nature of the field you are always going to be competing with either the hyper autists who have been doing that kind of thing since they were in diapers, or the ones who schmoozed their way in with connections. Biology for example is interesting, but if you’re not going to be going the medicine route then you’re competing with a shitton of other applicants for scraps, and statistically there’s millions of basic bio degree holders out there and its increasing. I myself entertained getting into tech shit as a career change a few years back, but I could also tell that it was yet another bubble just waiting to burst that’ll fuck over many within who are only good at the hard skills it requires and none of the softer stuff, aside from the virtue signallers I guess. And sure enough thats exactly whats happening. Now I’m just under 24 and got a pretty good thing going on. Oh well, more room for me I suppose.

Thats exactly what it is. Which to be fair back in the 90’s/early 2000’s could be excused a little. But this late in the game with decades of people showing what not to do with that thing, there’s little excuse left to fuck yourself over that badly. Willful ignorance only goes so far.

The real question is why are liberals so bad with math? Why do they believe this stuff?

Lol right? What a bunch of retarded chuds. I went to a good state school(Stony Brook) and graduated with zero debt just from working full time while going to school.
