My uncle actually did that for twenty years. From early-20s to his 40s, he stayed on the big island and worked BS jobs while living in a RV.
Used to get drunk and high everyday, dude was pretty cool. He now lives in bumfuck Arkansas cause you can only get high/drunk so many times before it gets old. Now he just gardens out of his RV.
