QE is not inflationary as long as Fed buys securities that are tied to future investments, i.e. MBS or junk bonds from fresh companies, which is exactly what Fed was doing. It's basically extra liquidity in the economy which prevents deflation that would occur if no extra money was introduced. USA experienced insane growth in the last decade, money supply simply has to follow that trend.

As for bank loans, it's basically Fed providing temporary liquidity. Banks have to repay it in full to Fed, removing said liquidity in the process.

In the short-term, changes in the political situation on Taiwan look advantageous for China as the KMT is scheduled to win the Presidency in 2024 and their last President Ma Ying-jeou (2008 — 2016) just made a historic visit to China yesterday, the first visit ever by a Taiwanese President albeit a former one. He has made quite a number of pro-Chinese statements and is scheduled to stay for a total of 12 days.

So I wouldn't bet on an invasion until 2028 or 2030.
