Am I not the only one who's so tired of hearing this platitude all the damn time? It's the new "work hard" - yes, these two quotes definitely increase your odds of succeeding, but that's just it - it's odds, it's never a guarantee.

And also, what if your "passion" is something that's impossible to make money off of? For instance, someone might have a passion of making lists of top 10-100 music, but there's no way that person can make money because of licensing issues (and youtube will say hell no to monetizing that). That's just one example of many. Where do you think the term "starving artist" comes from if following your passion is the key to success?

For those that followed your passion and managed to monetize it to millions, I say congratulations. I'm talking to the people who have the problem(s) I've mentioned above.

Yeah it's bullshit. People who say otherwise just got lucky or are products of nepotism. There is no in-between. Don't let them gaslight you otherwise. They'll either call you a quitter or say it's not your thing. But the reality is they're just guilt tripping because they don't have any capability/comprehension of the matter or are too selfish/sadistic to actually help someone who actually, genuinely needed it. Most of the population is borg status thanks to jabs and social conditioning. And the hard truth is that innocent and good people all around me are treated like dirt in between me always picking up the pieces and trying to help them. Noone listens until it's too late. I don't hate myself, but I certainly resent being repeatedly placed in situations and scenarios like this. And every effort, no matter how many hours and sleepless nights toiling from one project or crisis to the next, is squandered or goes unacknowledged. Seeing through everything to completion only to have others half ass their way to the finish line further indicates this entire realm is pure evil, and the gnostics were unironically right. But I'd go further to say that even the concept of Sophia is a pipedream. I'd sooner become my own demiurge in my own realm minus the mindless psychosis towards my creations.

obviously start some summer job if you haven't done it already the past years in order to have some spare money for anything that may happen in the near future and also its good for growing your network.

after high school and before choosing to go to college or university , sit down and think it thoroughly about what you want to do my advice would be that don't go for professions that are overflowing with workers even if you like that job profession because it will most likely backfire by making it hard to achieve what you want.

its better to go for some new fields that don't have too much competition in the hiring aspect. since it will help you establish yourself easier in the market.

as for investments never invest more than you can afford to lose(too cliche but i personally got burned a lot before lol) as always practice makes you perfect , start small until you get the hang of it and never forget to keep a cool head not only in investments but also life in general. never let emotions get the better of you.

and last but most importantly just try to enjoy your youth as much as you can because years go by faster than you realize. dont stress yourself too much about the future because in the end it will never be worth your mental and inner peace.

Fortunately my dad gave me good advice when I was young. He said most people won't be lucky enough to love what they do for work. And many people try to do what they're passionate about for work only to lose the passion when it becomes a grind (cooking for example). So instead I should find something I don't hate doing but that makes really good money, and then I can afford to do what interests me when I'm not working.

Not exactly true. Now I've tasted how it feels to make it and not give a fuck about the price tag for a year. Well then life happened with rugs and my wallet got hacked just as I had transferred all of my cryptos out of the exchange.
After my wallet expose it was dark about a month. I was do depressed that I unironically had toughts of suicide because getting to a millie from zero sounds fucking absurd.
Yet I've done it once.
I live in a northern country where it gets rly cold in the winter.
Well, since our electricity bill has gone nuts, the food prices have gone thru the roof I have been hungry and cold for all of this year.
I have needed to steal food from the store.
I have cried, oh how have I cried.
I've gotten out of the pit now.
But chasing money is hs gotten somehow so absurd to me that I'd rather be poor then to slave away in the cage.
Money buys you freedom.
Happiness is within. If you are not happy dirt poor you wont be happy having millions in the end.
My situation is fucked, but I have no will to jump to the meat grinder. There is no point in the rat race, because anything can happen and you loose it all.
Maybe you go to a vacation in a beautiful country, visit the beach to swim only to be eaten by a shark. As you have just made it financially.
