Get admitted to a Masters degree in Statistics/Economics/Financial Engineering/Data Science in any university in Quebec? Is it easier and less competitive?
I have an incredibly low Bachelors GPA in my home country, if I learn French, take distance-learning individual courses at community colleges in Canada, can I get admitted to a masters program?
My theory is Quebec would be much easier since there is wayy too much competition among people of my country to get into masters programs of nearly all other provinces. Also, does Quebec universities provide a preference for Canada PR holders and French speakers?

Quebecois here, went to school and I didn't do STEM, feel free to stop reading here.

First and foremost yes, you must show high school level, and some college level french (same difficulty just extra work). From there and AFAIK, you can apply to and attend a fully english university for the remainder of your academic career.

Second, if you're not worried about prestige, and want the highest likelihood of success, consider applying to Concordia in Montreal - which has a campus right in the heart of downtown. Otherwise, try McGill but I doubt they'll overlook a poor GPA.

Third, outside Montreal is 99% French. The mean, seperatist kind. Hope this helps and GL on your studies.
