assuming I used low leverage how long would it take to turn $500 into $5,000 trading?

Fees would eat you alive. Crypto leverage is per day not per year.

Just buy some micro cap shitcoin and pray. Or you know just play options

nice job anon, just be careful with the high leverage or be ready to cut your losses.

Low leverage? Anything from a few years to a few decades depending on how good you are

>> No.54194131

>>54193155
Its doable anon really depends on market volatility but realistically you'll lose all your money trying.

>>54193731
also this anon is retarded you wont lose all your money on fees unless you are being an actual idiot by entering and exiting trades multiple times a day

>> No.54194152

>>54194131
thanks anon I'm gonna give it a shot anyway

forgot to say that using 5x leverage you could
achieve this in a few months

I ration my collateral properly, my liquidation price is always 1.5-2k below current price. It does eat away my soul when i see a -300 usdt, but i just wait it out neevously and it goes back up.

5x is exactly what I was thinking. will see how it goes.

So when a trades does go your way do you ever cut your losses? Do you add to your position to bring down your entry? Or do you just let it ride?

>> No.54194274

>>54194214
Yeah adding more would increase my entry price but wouldnt it also bring the liquidation price closer, increasing risk?

I meant *doesn't go your way, whoops. Yeah you're smart anon, doing it the right way, stay at it!

I literally did this, this week. Turned 500 into 8k using options. If anyone want proof just ask me. I shall provide. OP it's definitely doable

>> No.54194401

I wouldnt recommend high leverage even with a good collateral split. You definitely need nerves of steel to not be affected mentally. I also put away 500 into spot so i dont get completely obliterated by one whale deciding its my unlucky day.

Look up e-mini micros, MES specifically. Two contracts will have $100 in play at most future brokerages and ten points will net you another $100. Once you hit $1000, you can switch to the ES and every ten points will be an extra $1000.

No clue why every nigger here says crypto is the only way to get rich because it's definitely not.

You gotta buy what other people are gonna end up buying at a higher price. If you buy too far out you'll have to risk your money on more trades to make the same money. Buy too short term and if it doesn't do what you want, immediately, you're fucked.

Calls are overpriced on the way up and sometimes overpriced anticipating a rebound, easy to lose money on speculation.

The best advice is to observe a stock and see when it and/or the market is in a dip, to buy a few options if you have thr money, and to not sell them all at once I lost out on the chance of 800 on a 200 dollar option the other day being sell happy.
