Unhalt the halts and stop FUCKING crabbing on major indices

>> No.54088028

As a bean commodity trader on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, my days are spent monitoring the prices of beans in Malaysia down to the tenth of a penny. It's a job that requires a lot of focus and attention to detail, but I've always enjoyed it. My friends call me a "beaner," which is the term used on the floor of the NYSE to describe someone who trades in beans. I like to think that people like me because of my expertise in this area.

But lately, I've been feeling like there might be more to life than just beans on a computer screen. Sure, my BeanMe algorithms are making me a lot of money by allowing me to steal beans from poor farmers and sell them to rich people in other countries for 500 times the price. But is that really something to be proud of? Am I contributing anything meaningful to society, or am I just profiting off the backs of others?

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to have a job that actually made a difference in the world. To be able to wake up every morning and know that I was doing something to help people, rather than just making myself rich. But then I remind myself that I have bills to pay and a lifestyle to maintain. And besides, I'm good at what I do. Why give up something I'm good at just because it doesn't feel very fulfilling?

So for now, I'll keep monitoring those bean prices and running my algorithms. Maybe someday I'll find a way to use my skills for something more meaningful, but for now, I'll just be content with being a "beaner" on the NYSE.

I’d be a buyer if we saw some real panic, but market is shrugging this off. VIX is just up on a gamma squeeze

They didn't. They made depositors whole, and then established a fund so that banks that have solid collateral can more easily survive a random bank run. There was no "bail out", SVB is dead, and its equity and the holders of that equity are zeroed out. Any other banks which are fundamentally insolvent are also not protected by any of the actions taken.

Also the fed didn't "let" DXY fall anymore than they "let" bitcoin run up. It's just retarded speculators assuming the feds will pause hikes or reduce interest rates even though they have absolutely no fucking reason to do so.

Their goal and reputation demands they protect the common man and lower interest rates even if it requires harming the screaming hot equity and labor markets (which it does). They also sold their equities when the bogs died in fall 2021, so they don't have skin in the game.

Says who? The big boys have ungodly amounts of money saved to protect themselves. Where do you think all the trillions printed over the last 3 years ended up?

Sometimes you have to think for yourself instead of trying to mindgame whether to play the news shills as contras today.

With 10Y crashing, the pressure on these banks is actually lower than last week. Schwab is a major bank, thus no risk of sudden bankruns like the fear hitting regionals right now. Even those fears are pretty stupid though - after the SVB bailout depositors have no reason to care.
So then what's left? Valuation. Only the blind didn't already realize that these banks were all massively underwater on certain positions. The news has triggered the mass awareness to cause revaluations, but think for yourself where fair value lies.
