TD is the riskiest because its most exposed to the US. After that BNS because of its latin america exposure.

All Canadian assets are practically risk free due to regulations (mortgages are guaranteed by the government).

Are there any risks of bail-in in Canadian banks if things got so bad that even they went under?

To me TD would seem like one of the bigger banks with less chance to fail, specifically because of their US operations.

Theyre probably least likely to go under (the current bank run is on 2nd tier banks, canadian banking industry is heavily regulated and almost everyone banks at one of the big5)

and even if they do they're guaranteed to be bailed out because theyre systemically important

US operations are the biggest risk for Canadian banks with everything going on with SVB, although theyre huge players in canada theyre smaller in the US and clients who arent as aware of their financial situation may pull out like they would with a regional bank
