Is this in Mexico City? Obviously, this is an area where you do not want the cheapest option, you want the surgeon with the best skill/reputation. The best surgeons want around $8 per transplant. Some can go as low as $5 in cheaper cities but you will have the factor that cost and inconvenience in. You will want 2000 + transplants to get good results, in general, to fix the hairline as shown in OP. If you are balder than this, just save your fucking head, transplants are not going to save you.

3.5k euro in Turkey for me. I'd need two ops but I'm very happy with the first one and don't actually have enough donor hair for the second as, unusually, the hair on the sides of my head is leaving me as well haha. That doesn't affect the vast majority of people.

Finasteride gave me dick issues after a week so I abandoned that but minoxidil since the op has helped for sure.

But for me it was so worth it. Hurt like fuck during it though but next day no pain whatsoever. I also bled far more than usual so I bled out the painkillers.

Baldness is caused by an excess amount of testosterone in your body. This is largely determined by genetics.

finasteride can take years to have a noticeable effect. I saw pics of some guy on/Tressless who was taking it for 5 years, it was only after 2 years that he started to get great results. 5 years after starting, his hair looks much much better.

>> No.53969855

>>53969365
The transplanted hair will not fall out as it's taken from the sides and back of your head which for most people are resistant to balding.
Fin is taken so the rest of your hair on the top doesn't fall out and give you gaps where you transplanted and previously had natural hair.

But if you have no hair where you transplanted to, then no need to take fin for that area. Just really depends on what you've got currently. Fin is recommended but a full head of hair isn't worth a non functional dick.

More testosterone more DHT more balding

This is why steroid and creatine users are more likely to bald without 5a-reductase inhibitors like finasteride or dutasteride

Fin/dut + minoxidil 5-10% topical is the only solution to fend off balding until hair cloning becomes mainstream

You will have to use those even if you get a transplant or you'll lose your transplants

Simple as, any other information about androgenic alopecia is false

>> No.53970303

>>53970202
The transplants are resistant to DHT because they come from the back where guys don't typically lose hair. It's your regular crown hairs that you'll lose.

So you're able to say with certainty which specific follicles are and are not going to become more sensitive to DHT as you age? Surely you're not basing the aesthetic ROI of your $5000 transplant on chance, so please enlighten us about your methodology to know the % likelihood that any given follicle will outlive you

>> No.53970648

>> No.53970824

You need to stay on fin for a year to judge results. The best cases I have seen are ~10% in hair regrowth. If you want to firm up your hairline you need to do dermastamping and minnoxidil/RU58841. These are costly and time consuming. Just decide how much you care. You're gonna have to be on fin either way. Honestly just have a shorter haircut and take fin is probably your best bet. Getting shitty hair plugs will make you look ridiculous.

is the other anons right that you still have to take drugs after getting transplants? also, why don't people use the wigs or whatever that's cemented on the head more? Those have improved through the years, they don't look too bad. I suppose there's the issue of maintenance and desire for their own real grown hair which is why people go for transplants?

>> No.53970837

You don't have to. Some people do, and it often improves results. But you can't stop or that improved effect goes away. I don't take fin and have a full head of hair now.

I didn't want to fool with a wig or hair plugs. I wanted my own hair, and it worked well. It looks like the results in the OP.
