Lol that reminded me of a story a Mexican guy with the Guardia nacional told me, basically they were patrolling some remote area and very few houses, as they walk in the night with through the hill his phone randomly started vibrating so he checked it and it was one of those wifi available notification to ask if he wanted to connect to it, at that moment he goes full wtf is this about, turns out one of the random shacks in the area was used by the cartel and they just happened to walk close enough to pick up their network, at the end all they found was some guns and tools for stealing gas off the pipelines still, funny thing about randomly getting wifi in the middle of nowhere.
