ETH whales (The whales who start most alt seasons) prefer to pump vaporwares and ponzis because they know their success is limited and could never rival ETH. Had Avalanche had the same marketcap as Ethereum (Or even third of Ether MC) there would be zero choice among smart money about which protocol is the right one to go forward, even accounting for L2s space. So in conclusion, Vaporwares becoming top 5 coins=PnD cycle. Avalanche becoming top 5 coin=Existential threat for Ethereum value proposition because 95% of it is basically network effect.
