If you mean in other matters of life, as with all things, you do your research and avoid doing anything immoral.
True, while you're learning you might end up doing something and not realize it but you can pray about that and do what you can to make things right.
Do your best and let God do the rest, as some say.
Not so different from young children gaining awareness doing things and then later learning it was wrong, taking steps to not do it again in the future.
